Just got back from Louisiana, had to pick up the mother-in-law, and I’ve got some family coming in today due to evac orders. Hope your mom and dad stay safe.

They did not, and never have. Most of them moved to the north side of Pontchartrain after Katrina so they should miss the worst of it.

Not really because they are saying anywhere from 20 to 50 inches of rain or more. They are saying that it won't be clear until some time tomorrow afternoon there and the worst of it will be after night fall tonight

They just said that calls are coming in for rescue in Jefferson Parish but were told that they can't come right now

Mom said the power went out around 4:30 this morning around Jackson. Rain is steady and wind gusts around 50
