So I love storms, and always go out of my way to play in them, so are any of you gonna be out in this hurricane? I'm thinking of making a trip to the Outer Banks.

Here's downtown Charleston,SC as of now.

Nice thread, I love storms myself and love sitting out on the porch watching lightning. Living in Kinston, NC I have seen my fair share of hurricanes from Fran to Juaquin. I still remember flying over the flood of 1999 when Hurricane Floyd hit North Carolina it was amazing but sad and devastating at the same time.

Columbia and Ft Jackson declared a state of emergency. Lots of places under water. This was one of the main dams on Ft Jackson that broke this morning. The lake, of course, is empty. 19" of rain in the last 48 hours, so naturally, were driving around in the Jeep! I think we got about a 1/8 of an inch of rain here in SoCal last night. I'm surprised they opened the roads

From what I understand the rain is heading north of us. It's calmed down a lot in the last few hours but supposedly were getting hit again tonight. Some stuff we saw around Columbia SC driving around today:
