GMC 2500 finally ordered

well interesting development. I got a call yesterday from my dealership and our truck is built. Now he said 1 of 2 things can happen IF it needs to wait on a chip it will end up going in hold status and sit on the lots with all the other thousands sitting at the plant OR it will get on a train and have an ETA of 30 Oct which would be amazing. Now he clearly didn't want to promise anything because who knows, BUT he said our dealership got 6 allocations for the rest of the year and our truck was one of them meaning it "should" have its chips and be shipped soon. This is crazy good news and I'm hesitant to get too excited yet but I might actually have a truck in 2 weeks!
 
Just got the call this morning that our truck is on the move and should show up by Thursday. Turns out it was sitting waiting on the bed liner.
Super good news with our kid showing up 2 weeks early, the 2dr giving me fits and the 4dr needing a radiator again. Going to be nice to have a nice new truck to haul the kid around
