We had a blast. First time we ran it. It was late November and the weather was perfect. 60 F during the day. Just one other group on the trail. I was annoyed with the permit system and regulations at first but appreciated it because there weren’t any side by sides or dirt bikes buzzing around. The most peaceful run we’ve ever done.

I don't do a lot of camping, but this is the last spot I stayed. I spent some time in Moab and decided to drive to Ouray, CO. This was my camping spot on the San Miguel River a little ways West of Ouray.

I love and miss that area! I spent a lot of weekends camping around Ouray and Telluride.

Yep, right in my back yard! My little guy wanted to camp so we camped! Pic even shows our new Rottie, Reagan, and Beagle that is named Bandit. Sarge didn't have the lift yet in this picture. Good times!

I have a backyard camp story to share...a long time ago, my daughter wanted me to put up the tent in the backyard so she could invite a few friends for a sleepover...I obliged and hung with them until it was time to go to sleep. Early in the morning, as I was about to prep their breakfast, I walked by my daughter's room and saw her asleep in her bed...she bailed on her friends while they were asleep in their sleeping bags...
