I am writing from Sydney Australia. The Wrangler JL is not expected here till maybe December – so I can’t ask dealers questions.

From time to time we need to air down or buy cool looking wheels.

Can we turn off the Tyre Pressure Indicator in the Jeep Wrangler JL?
.

Where is the tyre pressure sensor? If you get new wheels for your jeep, how will the tyre pressure sensor respond?

.

If you buy new wheels you can turn off the TMPS.

See page 229 of the manual

You've mentioned 3 times now that you have to buy new wheels to turn off the TPMS. Why not do what Eddie said and save money by purchasing a Tazer and accomplish the same thing :idontknow:

I actually like to know if suddenly I start losing pressure. That said I put the TPMS from my old tires into my new ones and changed the set point that it notifies my of a pressure issue...
The sensors are inside the tire..Assuming they are like the JK's

According to the manual,.......................

Ooops my mistake! Yes the sensors are in the tyre.

The sensors are a part of the valve stems that are mounted on the wheels.

I chose to keep mine and just use a Tazer JL to LOWER the values of them. That way, I can run less psi and without having the warning light come on.
