Can I safely run my Dana 30 without Front stub axle

Hi guys. I'm getting conflicting views locally so thought I'd ask here ... My front axle uni joints exploded and took out the yoke ends on both the axle and the stub axle (both left and right sides). Plan is to replace them with cromolys but may take a few weeks to source, fund and install. Meantime, will it be ok to run around the streets without stub axles? Some here say yes. Some say no - the stub axle is 'structural' to the hub bearing unit. Thoughts?

Assuming we are talking about a Jk d30, you can run it without shafts no problem... Just plug the tubes with a rag or something to slow the diff leakage..
The unit bearing in a Jk can run without axle shafts. I ran mine for nearly 1k Miles before I got my shaft replaced.

As mentioned, you can run without them just fine. On an old TJ, you could not as there would be nothing to hold the bearing in place. Some of the advice you are getting are probably from people with older rigs. Just plug your tubes and go.
