Blown 3.6L, will any 3.6l block work

So a few months ago my 2013 JKU bit the dust with a blown motor, I would do a V8 swap, but that is cost-prohibitive. 2012-13 engines seem to be considered made of gold and usually run $1000 or more above the other 3.6L engines. Will a 14-18 3.6L work? Or would a 3.6L pentastar block from either a chrysler car, truck, or van work? Car, truck and van engines are like $1500-1900, whereas the JK engines for 12-13 are $3500-4500 and the 14-18 are $2500-3200? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe contact one of the swap shops that do the V-8 maybe you can get a complete engine for a decent price. Mine had lots of life left in it when I did the swap. Last time I was in Vegas Motech had a pile of complete engines.

Are you replacing the block or the whole thing? You can swap any JK pentastar motor in and it will work. I think I only paid $2000 for mine. Had 16k miles on it. Call around to other places.
