Been waiting for an OEM steering damper?

Because they’ve been NBO forever? And you wanted to use it with a relocated bracket, such as Synergy’s?

Well, the wait continues… I finally got one of the new units and it’s not going to work anymore. The bushing sleeves have been modified. The rod end is significantly thicker but can still be drilled out to half-inch, but the shock end is different with the larger opening at 11/16”.

Guess I’m sticking with Fox.

Is this the part number that's on the OEM one in your picture? 68624105AA

The number I listed replaces all of these, 68251580AA, 68251580AB, 68251580AC, 68251580AD, 68251580AE, 68251580AF, 68251580AG, 68454399AA, 68508680AA. So it looks like a new part number altogether because of major changes.

Is there some kind of bulletin to change hardware?
I wasn’t made aware of one. I gave the last 8 of my VIN and this was what I received. 🤷🏼‍♂️

So yup, what you have has replaced a bunch of part numbers.

From the picture you provided, the bushing on the shock end appears to have two different sizes internally.
Does your bolt fit the smaller size in the bushing?

Reason I'm asking questions, JL/JT are the same up front and I'm close to replacing mine.

Yeah, the shock end has two different internal diameters.

I don’t have the stock setup anymore so I couldn’t tell you. I’ve been using a Synergy relocation kit for a couple years, first using the original OEM damper and then a Fox because the OEM failed and been waiting ever since. Synergy requires both ends to have a 1/2” bushing.

I have the same setup. Had to drill out the bushing to accept the Synergy relocation stud. I'll probably just get the recommended FOX from Synergy when the OEM pukes.

Only problem I’ve had with the Fox is that it tends to push/pull a little to one side or the other.
