I just bought a 60 (89 Ford) and 14 bolt rear Iwill be building. The plan is to build both for under $4k, locked and 5.38's with me doing the work.
Grubbi did you go with a shave kit? Thanks!
Well in the JK I decided to go with a sterling 10.5. Bit more ground clearance, but also did it because I wanted the width of it.
I was looking into doing a swap to the 60/14 but after factoring everything like arbs, regear, axles, and paying someone with legit welding know-how, it would have only saved me a little over PR60s. So I'm saving and in a year or two plan on throwing a few pennies Dynatrac's way(as well as moving out to the Rocky terrain around that time). Peace of mind and mind blowing strength are worth those pesky little Abes

I agree if you have to pay someone then it's probably not worth it.
This swap isn't for everyone. You have to put work in or the money just starts adding up faster
Dana, dang those are shinny!!! Very cool setup, any more info on them, and what is a ballpark $$$ wise? Thanks!
Yeah. If I was proficient and got a good deal on the parts, I could give it a shot but at the price, I'd rather have the warranty
Warranty is only for a year lol
There's no way you can do it for $3000. Axles 800-1000. Gears 800. Lockers 1000-2000. New steering 500-1000. Artec trusses 800. New brakes 500. Then all the other odds and ends like breather hoses, nuts n bolts, and labor. Not to mention you have to get 8 lug wheels. You're looking at 5000-7000 realistically
