When the first sketch drawing of the Mopar CJ66 was first released, there was a lot of speculation as to what it was all about. People were wondering if it might be a new JK body kit to give it a CJ look but as we found out yesterday, it's looks isn't what would make it so interesting but rather, what was under the hood. Apparently, Mopar is getting into the restoration business and they've even teamed up with companies like Omix-Ada to help provide parts and components to make that possible. That being said, Mopar just released two new motors, a 345 and 392 Crate HEMI Engine Kit made specifically to be installed in old iron. Essentially, you can now install a modern HEMI V8 on a TJ frame and CJ6 body and using just 6 simple wires.

Really like this. But I love the CJ look better than any Wrangler. And woot for the crate motors Hemi's.

Looks like maybe a stretched TJ frame or an LJ frame, the arms are to short to be a JK.

Hell Yeah! I'm clearly going to have to start playing lotto again.
If the past and the present had a one night stand, this would be their lust child!

I love everything about it, except the Hardrock Bumbers ... I think they could have been a little more creative there.

Definitely one of my favorites. Seems like it's getting easier and easier to shoehorn a v8 into these. Hmmmmm
