Moab EJS 2024

For today’s adventure I had the good fortune to attend Harley Wade’s trail run ‘Girls on Top of The World’. Harley is Mel Wade’s daughter and a super nice young lady. She did a great job organizing this and as Trail Leader.

The theme of this ride is the women drive. About 15 very nicely equipped Jeeps showed up and the run was issue free. We started at 0700 so we were the first group up the hill to the Overlook. The trail is very popular so it gets really crowded as the day goes on.

This is sponsored by EVO, Nitto, KMC and Jeeper’s Jamboree. Jeeper’s set up a camp kitchen and made Philly Cheesesteak sandwiches which were delicious.

I was at the tail end of the pack so I do not have many pictures of the group.

The trail is dirt and rock ledges. The traction is a bit less than you get on the mostly ‘slick-rock’ trails such as Poison Spider. It’s a great trail and the view at the top is spectacular. And it’s cold 🥶 and windy on top.
That’s awesome! That gal in the silver and blue JK with old glory on the back is Brenda and Brian, good friends of ours and former club mates!

Today I went to the vendor show. One of my favorite parts of the show is to walk through the parking lot and check out all the cool rigs parked there.

One of my favorite rigs at EJS. It’s been on display several years and I never get tired of seeing it.

Diesel power!

Lots of 392’s here. From full on modified to bone stock.

This is a great place to buy or sell a rig.

I admit I have a weak spot for Sammies! My cousin has one and we did many a family 4x4 trip with him driving that little beast. It almost never got stuck and when it did it was super easy to recover.

That first one is great! Love the patina.

What did you think of these?
The rep was saying they got picked up by jeep and you can order them factory as an option.

I think it was like 20K or something with the tent on top…

I’ve never been into this concept, but I wouldn’t say no to one of these if I won it…

I have something similar from Shitmitybuilt and love it. Nice to have all your stuff inside and ready to go on a whim. Also nice to still have a nimble Jeep when you want to go run a trail. Oh, and it was nowhere near that cost.

Yea I have one buddy who always takes his homemade one. Just leaves it at the camp site. It seems pretty convenient.

And yea the cost is painful. Also, I’d rather pay the manufacturer than pay Jeep, haha.

No doubt! If they didn’t jack the price because “JEEP” it would be cool to have a branded one.
