Yep, grandpa that I was referring to passed away 5 years ago this October. I'm surprised grandma didn't go shortly after. She was heart broken. They had been married 65 years and were working on 66. He was 18 and she was 16 when they married. He was the only thing she knew really. She's doing better now though.

I can attest to the work ethic and tenacity of my parents generation...my mom and her family lived in what is now known as North Korea. She survived the brutal Japanese occupation of the peninsula in WWII, followed by the Korean War, where she witnessed the execution of her father...she is the sole survivor of that war in her entire family. Whenever times seemed tough in my life, all I had to do was think of my mom, and my problems seemed pretty trivial...

When I look at my daughter & my sister's daughter, I realize that the entire genetic code of my moms family reside in those two girls...if they don't have children, several thousand years of my moms family's existence will cease

If she is a fat people hater, why does she give Warm Regards? Fat people would generally be warmer than skinny people.
