Yes keep going! Where do you get these frames with straight axles? I'd enjoy building one of these
I will see about another tiny build, no one has complained yet.
1st, I want to say, Axial has some great stuff, but its basically all built out of the box, and that's no fun for me. I have some kits, but I'm a scratch builder.
So I hunt all over ebay and 2 websites, RC4WD and RPP for various chassis and axles, transfer cases, transmissions, etc...
Just about anything you have in you Jeep, mud truck, monster truck or any other 1:1 vehicle, I can probably find a miniature of it in one of these 3 places I mentioned.
Sometimes, to be cheap, I buy the square 1\2 " iron tube from a hardware store. And with some heat, a vice and something to grab ahold of it, you can make the axle humps in the frame, and then saw the tube in half length ways for separate identical frame rails..
Tamiya has axles, RC4WD has the most expensive but more accurate axles, Axial has axles, HPI has axles.. (these are ones that resemble solid axles or leafed, linked or whatever you want.) Some axles are pretty goofy looking and I stay away from them.
If you want to build something, let me know, I may have parts I can send your way, and I want nothing for them. I have tons of little stuff, that's just wasting away now.
If you find something and you have a question about it, hit me up, I try to lurk couple times a day while I'm at work
EDIT = I'll bet no one knows my avatar, I have a feeling most are too young here..
Its Super Chicken and his pal Fred in the "Chicken Coup" lol
