The "Twins" Build ('13 JKUR10A and '14 JKURX)

So, with the Anvil one, the story goes like this... Since I buy the new White Jeep, we all love it. When we started looking at buying the white jeep we were between white and anvil but couldn’t find a new X in anvi). So anyways, our Dodge Durango has 32k miles on it and needs new tires (on 20"s) so instead of buying new tires, we say WTF and trade it in (had like 5k in equity on it) as I found a 2013 10A in Anvil. We figured we could sell either as they hold their value whenever we needed to (plus I have a company car). So, the Anvil 10A came with 5 315/70r17s AND the 5 stockers, and 9000 lb winch with synthetic line, leveling kit, only 12k miles, great shape and in great shape and not a Jeep dealer so they did not really want it too long. Original owner didn’t really like the ride and traded it for a Buick LeSabre - I know... Anyways, just got this last month but mods so far are:

- Blacked out muffler
- Antenna X
- Changed rims from Pro Comp to Fuel Anza and rotated the 315s
- Added new set of TF 2.5 coils for cheap, painted them Red
- Painted steering stabilizer Red
- Fox Racing shocks
- Grill inserts and light guards with headlight bezels (wife likes, gotta give in somewhere)
- Painted hook on winch line Red (was yellow)
- I will be changing the current pocket style Bushwacker fender flares back to stock OEM fender flares as I dont like these too much
- More to come as well but thats it for now.... A few pics below...

love both these colors you have! I got to say that i had the Pocket Style Bushwacker fenders as well. I bought my jeep with them on it and took me about 6 months to find a good deal on OEM fenders:) much happier with how she sits now!

M Savage - I found a set of perfect oem flares and have had them 2 months but now I'm thinking of going with flat fenders on the anvil jeep. Just waiting for the budget to allow and I can't seem to decide. Not sure to go Bushwacker or trim the oem or go for some others like MCE or spend lots on Metalcloak or other steel/alum flats.

Finally added the red plasmaglow switch for the light bar. Did not want to have too many swicthes so added this to the apillar and will ad maybe one or two more for other lights/electronics later next to this one.

Added the Synergy SS relocation bracket to raise the SS on the white jeep (anvil already has relocated SS). Stock SS working fine, just wanted to raise it and it now is up above the tie rod. Wow a lot of road salt under there.

Next up are Diff covers. I really like the Dynatrac but not sure I want to spend that much. Second choice may be Teraflex. Any advice on others to consider?

The AEV covers look nice, but they are spendy.

Been really happy with my Dynatrac covers. :thumb:

Thanks for the feedback Sessoms and ERAUGrad - yes, everyone I talk to loves their Dynatrac, Poison not bad either. I may have to suggest as a b-day gift from my wife...

Are they all the same thickness at 3/16? So then is it pretty much a choice based on looks and recessed bolt heads or not?

One pic I found from the last trip to Rausch Creek with some of the Wayalife gang... These guys were great - Thanks Cozdude and Jim!

I think you can still get the SOLID diff covers for real cheap if you are on a low budget build.

:yup:

Thanks Relayer4u - I will check them out. Price is important but not the only factor. Thing is I will eventually have to buy 4 covers cause I wheel them both - ugh.

I went with a SOLID cover for the rear since the stock was peeled back and leaking. Seemed a good value buy to me!
