Cool. I cut some little aluminum blocks and did something similar on the bench seat in the back of my JK.

Definitely nice to not be sitting at a 90 degree angle, haha.

After my engine fire in Oct 2023 we rebuilt the engine, transmission and installed a 4 to 1 transfer case. To celebrate, we drove from Tucson to Moab and had a great week. We installed Ruby's new decals on her new hood to run Rusty Nail. They seemed appropiate.

I’m kidding. Putting them together is no big deal but taking 5-year old tires off of them is work. After doing wrong several previous times, I know what to expect and most of the tricks. Once the nuts are off, dead blow the crap out of the backside to loosen the two halves. Soap the shit out of them while prying the bead up as you walk around the tire. Two people make it waaay easier. And, spring for the Snap-On pry bars. Their pry end just happens to be shaped perfectly for digging in and separating the bead. Silicone grease is your friend for the o-rings.
Took an hour per tire start to finish including balancing, which for me is a record. Oh and we had to do it six times because I accidentally put the old tire back on one of them! “Stupid is as Stupid does.”
 
Getting Gypsy ready for our Moab trip in two weeks.

Reinstalled the soft top windows. The weather was warm when I took them off and the fabric was soft and pliable. I figured the top has stretched a bit and should be much easier to install than when it was new.

The windows were reinstalled for the drive to Moab and because the weather turned cold and wet. Cold, the windows are no longer soft and pliable and almost as difficult to install as the first time.

At least the doors are easier to remove since installing the nylon hinge bushings.

Appreciate it, man. Frame is square. No dents or broken bracket welds. Spare tire carrier took most of it- Which is also fine.
