Finally scoured the interwebs long enough and came across a deal I couldn’t pass up.
Embarking on the long and arduous project of building some junk yard axles for the JK.
Its time for some wontons.
Picked up a set of axles from an 08 F-350 that, were complete and, in fairly decent shape considering they’ve been sitting in some weather. I will be replacing the hubs, brakes knuckles and axle shafts with new units from ford and ditching the carriers and gears but, all in all a good find for what I paid.
Plan is to have these prepped and ready to mock up the brackets and swap trusses in the next month or so and under the jeep and ready for steering linkage and suspension links by sometime mid fall.
Lots of parts to buy and fab but, I get to build them up as funds allow and I get to build them my way with the parts I want.
