MOPAR Jeep CJ SURGE - SEMA 2022

As is the case with all things new with Jeep, Mopar and just about anything under the Chrysler/Stellantis umbrella, electrification of everything is all the rage. And, just as I would expect to see in the Mopar display at the 2022 SEMA Show, they had a custom Jeep CJ-6 built with a 400v, 200kW electric drive power plant under the hood and they called it, the CJ SURGE. Here are some pics of it.

I wonder how all these EV conversions ride with all the extra weight in the back? I would assume they also have less weight in the front. Probably why they stretched it.

This is interesting but I feel they’re pushing electric far too much. Kinda ruined a really nice CJ imho.
It really is one thing to push electric on NEW vehicles. I mean, I get it. But, to do it on old ones?? Even the feds aren't pushing that and it's why companies like GM will still make crate motors. I THOUGHT that Mopar was going to do the same but now, I'm starting to wonder about that.
