Another project we've been working on is cleaning up the stable and bringing it to a point of arrested decay. Essentially, stabilize it enough so that it won't fall down and make a few improvements to it so that it's useable. Here's a few shots of what it looked like when we bought the property.
After cleaning up all the crap (no pun intended - there was tons of horse poop everywhere), junk, 4 pallets of cedar shakes and organized some of the more usable wood, this is what it looked like.
Of course, this is where we started to see real help needed to happen.
Before we could start fixing things, we had to pull everything out.
Then it was time to break out the heavy equipment.
After busting up the existing concrete, a new footing could be installed.
Still got one more to go but here's how things are looking now.
