Was EVO able to get their hands on a set of kings for the DTD in a timely manor? Asking for a friend….

My understanding is that pretty much everything is back ordered. It’s the ‘Rona you know… 🙄😟

EVO did make it happen in what I thought was a reasonable amount of time, however I am in no rush as this is not a daily driver, and I enjoy driving my wife’s Gladiator! 😂🤣

A couple of other mods that I have added recently:

An ARB on a slider. I wanted to be able to access it through the rear passenger door instead of the tailgate. I put the small side of the back seat in using a 60% seat delete. The person in that back seat is on bartender duty. I love having an electronic fridge in my Jeep although I sure miss hearing the ice and water slosh back and forth on the trail. 😐

I also installed a Rock Light kit. I have 6 Rigid lights now but plan to add a couple of Lux lights as well as their controller.

Additionally I added some seats. The stock seats kicked my ass, figuratively as well as literally. As a large human the stock seats were always less than enjoyable and my wife has always asked for heated seats. I decided to install a set of Scheel Mann seats. I went with the Vario XL which is the larger size. They are very comfortable, extremely adjustable, and heated. It was a bit of a pain to install but worth it. If you ever decide to do these let me know and I’ll pass on my lessons learned.

That is a stellar idea for the fridge. If my dog didn’t sprawl out on the back seat it would be perfect.

Good point. We are between dogs right now, I am looking at making a dog bed between the fridge and the front seats. I should have enough room for the dog and still be able to get in the fridge. Although I may need to make modifications. The dog will have priority.

Update on my Motech engine swap.

Kalan sent me some photos and let me know that they are nearing the end of the process. The engine is installed and test driving is being conducted. Quite a bit of testing is conducted by Motech prior to you picking up your vehicle. Robbie outlines this process in one of his recent videos and it is worth watching.

In addition to the motor swap Kalan and the Motech crew cleaned up the Rat’s Nest of wiring I had created, installed a lower profile winch, a new ARB dual pump to replace my outgoing Warn PowerPlant winch, and wired in a new SwitchPros 12 position panel. Kalan really put a personal touch on this whole experience and I am really thankful for his professionalism and all that he has done during this process. Thanks Kalan!
