I thought white light reflects off the dust making it harder to see.. whereas amber cuts through it... so you can see the trail ahead better.
Bubba has a video about this where he installed amber lights on one of his customers JT who works in the oil field. He explained it. You can see better with amber than you can with white and others can see you a lot better when you are running amber lights

If you're the lead vehicle, nothing beats having white lights. If you're following a group, nothing says dick more than turning on super bright lights of any color at the guy in front of you. If it's super dusty, amber will do a better job of providing definition of the ground in front of you. This is the same with fog or snow. I would say that a measured amount of light here is what's beneficial.

And the halogen will put off heat so snow and ice won't build up on the lights where LED lights don't create heat

Yup. I love my LED headlights but there's something to be said about old school halogens especially in the snow.

Oh yeah, I would say that about any good LED headlight too. In my opinion, old school halogen lights work much better in heavy snow.

Yeah, I’ve got a set of yellow plasma ion piaa driving lights for that exact reason. It’s fun to freak out passengers though when you flip the leds on though 🤣

Having been a professional driver, it is my opinion the amber is not as harsh in dust/snow/fog and the spot will not light everything up like a wall. I am seriously looking at these too and am leaning towards the combo. I just have figure out how to get them past the wife. Lol.
