Project Tj

Well it’s been quite some time & the Jeep has since been sold to one of our good friends! It is awesome that it has stayed within our group. It made one trip to Drummond with us this past spring where our Buddy officially caught the bug!!!!

Needless to say this is where the Green Latrine would be transformed into what he is now.

Here is the Build up of what is now know as STKYGRN!!! IMG_7020.jpg
We started with a full strip down of the interior.IMG_6457.jpgIMG_6462.jpgIMG_6467.jpg
That’s when we found out just how bad the tub was...IMG_6472.jpgIMG_6474.jpg so we then began to cut out and replace with new sheet metal. Man I hate body workIMG_6485.jpg
We used a liner called ROC-it I believe to seal everything back up62058487632__34A2919F-2CE3-49E7-8EB2-66E45A754F0C.jpg
We then started to work on the armor.IMG_6517.JPGIMG_6521.jpgIMG_6519.jpg
Next was time to build/weld the cage! One of my favorite parts!IMG_6556.jpgIMG_6562.jpgIMG_6571.jpg
Next we installed the rear & front bumpers we made slight modifications to the front IMG_6587.jpgIMG_6588.jpg

Very cool Jeep. I would like to know more details. Especially who's parts you used. My Jeeps are both older short wheelbase Jeeps and that is what I'm interested in. I'm seriously considering stripping my YJ, and building a full coilover conversion.
I really like GenRight, except for the cost. Would be great if there is some American made alternatives.
I used Barnes, and M.O.R.E. parts for the spring over conversion. Plus shop fabricated parts.

We we returned from D.I. We quickly got back in the shop and tore down to get everything to powder coated!!62576205848__5903F8F0-DD3B-4E1A-958A-232B02C8490B.jpgIMG_6957.jpg then we decided to hit the entire tub inside and out with the ROC-IT liner againIMG_6964.jpgIMG_6972.jpgIMG_6974.jpg it was then time for finally assemblyIMG_6991.jpgIMG_6993.jpgIMG_6999.jpgIMG_6997.jpgIMG_7014.jpg
And here we are the final product of this phase lol!!! Please welcome STKYGRN!!IMG_7017.jpgIMG_7070.jpgIMG_7069.jpgIMG_7072.jpgIMG_7062.jpgIMG_7063.jpg.

We used Artec Industries for all the link Brackets & ORI towers. All the armor, tank, console, cage, lights f&r, bumpers are from GenRight. PSC is my go to for steering. The axles are from my Buddy over at ECGS!

I CANNOT take all the credit on this build.... Much appreciation goes out to Elroy231 & STKYGRN’s owner & my Father(Albino Gorilla YJ) for all their help & support along the way! There is NO way I could have pulled this build off in the short amount of time we did. We started 8/25/20 and finished 11/27/20 with a 1week test & tune trip & 2 full weeks of down time awaiting parts. Once again it could not have happen without you all! You guys rock [emoji120][emoji1306][emoji482]
