Lucky - a 17 JKU build

Sorry late to the topic, but if it’s loose you can stake the hole with a chisel and punch and then press it in. Looks like you found a better option anyways.

My jeep decided it would be better to go crawling instead of going to work! Needed new tires anyway, Moab wasn't easy on my coopers.

So I'm new to beadlocks and decided to just let a shop install these since they said they would balance and mount. But these don't look right. Any pros out there can give me a tip on what to do. There is a space between the outer ring and inner. 20200917_080833.jpg 20200922_172650.jpg

This is what they found after putting it on a rack. Man that's terrible! I lengthened the front lower arms a couple turns. I never could find a good spot for the angle finder to test it. Am I correct in lengthening them to increase degree? 20200922_172705.jpg

Yes, increasing lower arm length or decreasing upper length will increase the negative caster - it’ll roll the axle back toward the cab which will increase your angle.

Toe is a little out also...time to get out the yard sticks again! [emoji23]

I hope you don’t drive around with those wheels on there. I would also not want to be anywhere near that when it’s filled with air. And lastly, never go to that shop again as they will kill someone.

What in the actual fuck? Unless I’m seeing the pics wrong, that shop has no fucking clue how a beadlock works.

Unfortunately I didn't find this out until I got home. Going to pull them off and put them back on correctly. I should have just done it myself and brought them to just balance.

I have a feeling they didn't even remove the ring and just tried to put on the tire. Definitely didn't know what I meant when I told them they were beadlock wheels. They struggled for 4 hours with 2 of these. Lesson learned.

Bought and installed an air compressor.
It came with the syngery mount. Fits nicely under the hood on the driver side. Sure beats my little vair 88. 20201010_150926.jpg
