fender flares

Ive been doing a little research but haven't found any fender flares that serve a purpose other than just for cosmetics. I'm wanting to go either a 245 or 255 with a 2 or 3 inch wheel spacer but I'm worried that fenders will come into play when I make the change. Any ideas?

I put on crawler conceptz fender flares. I was able to fit 35” tires on a stock jk sport lift. I wouldn’t recommend it though due to limited uptravel. IMG_4451.JPG
