VIDEO : JL JOURNAL - First Drive

You have the best backyard to play in. Awesome. I went and looked at a rubicon at the local dealer. Tempting but...... I want the truck. 😁

Great video and info on how it drives and some of the options. Keep it up, can't wait to see more.

J'aurais du regarder jusqu'au bout ....... je plaisante :RÉ .
Ce JL me plait de plus en plus :pouce:
Merci pour ce partage !

I should have looked to the end ....... I'm kidding :RÉ .
I like this JL more and more :pouce:
Thank you for sharing !

Awesome video, I test drove a JL Rubicon with the 3.6 at the local dealership and was so tempted to buy it on the spot. But I wanted to wait until I can test drive the 2.0 turbo and the 3.0 diesel. Guess I will have to wait until next year before I purchase.
Yea that 3.0 diesel would be sweet nice HP and huge torque. I too will be waiting to see if it happens. Plus seeing the face on the diesel pickup guys all pissed when I'm at the diesel pump...oh but it is a diesel!

Sent from my Pixel XL using WAYALIFE mobile app

How would they know? They were in Automatic...

Ummm. The video showed they were using a tiptronic shifter option with an indication on the instrument cluster, So that you can manually select the gear you want to be in rather than letting the transmission automatically decide for you.

Being that my first Jeep ever was a 2012 JKU, I love the new JL's!! I too am a big fan of the colored dashboard, and the new gear shifter looks very smooth and a lot more user friendly so your not bumping it and downshifting at 60 mph!!

One question for you Eddie: are those LED's on the fenders? Are they useful? Thanks!!

Big Mike

I like C control went i'am driving on the highway. Did u happen to turn it on while driving on hwy 50 going up grade, and did it hold speed , did it lag and then shift down hard or smooth, what are ur impressions on this? Thanks..........Mike

Thank you, we're so glad to hear you like what you're seeing on our JL Journal :)

Nice review. Can’t wait to see part 2.....when you take it off road!

Cheers
Patrick

LOL!! We have taken it off road but we have a few more episodes we need to get in before we show that. It is coming soon though :yup:

The diesel will be a nice upgrade for the JL. A well needed one for sure but I have to say that I'm quite happy with the 3.6L.

As mentioned, we'll be doing this test again and show exactly what the dash says. Stay tuned.

We did get the LED group and that includes the lights on the fenders. As far as useful goes, not sure what you mean by that but I do know there are companies out there who are planning to make kits that WILL convert them into driving lights. Should be really interesting to see... especially at night :yup:

Good question, I can't say that we've tested out the cruise control as of yet but will do that today :yup:

:grayno: Cindy pointed that out to me right after we passed him. I know it's not an excuse but I was preoccupied with talking to the camera. She had offered to edit out the scene but we both agreed to keep it in as it's what really happened. My apology for the missed opportunity.

Haha, that's funny... Cindy's too nice 😀. I'm really hard on myself when I realize I've missed a Jeep wave opportunity. It happens...

👍👍👍

Oh my, that is a nice ride up the hill. On the drive by, it looks lifted with those high clearance front fenders and wide. Like a few have mentioned, a diesel truck is where I’m headed but that may change when the off road video comes out.... great job guys!
