so just installed a winch, but as i was googling, i came across several places selling a power cutoff for winches. Is that something that I need? Why would i need it? And would it be a good idea to wire it to an AUX switch?

I've heard nothing good or bad about them till now. I did have a friend that worked for Milestar in Los Angeles, so he ran Milestar on, I think, his GTO. Know nothing about them, however, now the subject of ridicule. As stated further up the thread; as always it's your jeep do as you please, but if not what I recommend then, well....

Wow, the admin here is quite the troll. And, out here pissing on the very aftermarket he uses to earn a living via BS video content. You might try to be a bit more prudent about who you piss on in public.

well... from my experience, I appreciate someone who is honest about the products being pitched by other "influencers" as a necessity when they are not needed and the video content is useful and not a constant "buy this off my Amazon store" pitch.
if you call someone a troll for telling the truth and saving others money well, I'd' say you're the troll for pushing it on because you believe it to be something that should be supported and pitched as a needed item because others do.
I'll let you know when I get my Amazon store setup, you can buy all the "As seen on YouTube" products you "need"

You'll forgive me but just because you don't like what I'm saying doesn't mean that I've been trolling. All I have been doing is sharing my very limited experience doing this Jeep thing and trying to help others out where I can and if at all possible, to save them some money. Also, you're kidding yourself if you really believe that I make videos to make a living.
Oh, and just because it seems to get your panties in a bunch - LOL

I found this site because of the videos posted by Eddie. In fact I learn new shit all the time that I didn't know or perhaps never thought of from others and I bought my first Jeep 40 years ago so I'm not new to jeeps at all. Still learning like many of the people on here. I think Rita Runner is a guy I met out at Citrus a few weeks ago. BTW not sure I understand Jeff Harts logic here at all.
