Mud? Did someone mentioned mud...? [emoji48]

I spent the better part of the morning browsing through your thread. I really enjoyed the documentaries, pictures, videos and your commentary! Romania looks to have a lot to offer! Thanks for continuing to share your adventures!

Looks like some fun terrain to play in.

I like that you guys can get the diesel Jeeps over there.

So, a couple of questions, the red two door, it looks like it has Toyota axles swapped in. First time I've seen that in a Jeep. What is the reason?

Also, in the longer video, what is the winch on the red four door? It looks like it has a dual motor or something.

Thanks for sharing 👍

The red JKR which runs on 40"s has Nissan patrol (yj) axles and 3.0 l diesel mercedes engine.
The owner was not pleased with the 2.8 VM factory diesel engine which has serious issues (overheating, cooling problems, etc) so decided to a swap. With respect to the axles that was an opportunity to which the owner could not resist :))) Here I saw a JKUR on Unimog portal axes!!!
Here is a short movie during first tests of the Red 2D project with Nissan Patrol axles: https://photos.app.goo.gl/CRYHWMMwL9WSE7g87

The whinch you've noticed is a HornetII from RED winches and can tell that's a real beast which has in the rear of the JKUR that runs on 37", a dedicated truck battery in dual system connected to the main one.

We turned 8 years. This time we explored Transilvania with its besutiful medieval fortresses (i.e fortified churches); some of these hidden gems are part of Unesco world heritage. We connect them by offroad paths over the hills and through the forests. By doing so we couldn't and .... wouldn't [emoji1787] miss the mud, lots of mud. Enjoy!

Not just off-roading but more overlanding

As the title say we are more into overlanding and discovering the most untamed and pristine locations untouched or barely touched by our specie :brows:

Below some videos from our hiking trips around the country which would require at least from you side a good cold beer and/or a moonshine especially in case you'll decide to watch all of them ... enjoy ...

So lets start with the most recent expeditions of this summer ...
From the south west of Romania a natural wonder: Mehedinti Plateau Geopark

Another natural wonder in the same part of Romania: National Park Cernei Valley - Domogled Mountains

And the road which leads from east into Cerney wild river valley:
