Who Got Their iPhone 6?

I will be getting a new phone in a couple weeks but it won't be the iPhone. It will be the Samsung galaxy note 4.

My plan is up in two days. I'd love to switch to Verizon but it's hard to give up my ATT unlimited data plan.

Still haven't decided between the 6 and 6+ though.

Even on AT&T you'll be forced into a capped plan. The unlimited data is :idontknow: IMO with the prevalence of wifi.

No kidding. I had been a Verizon user well before they were Verizon but switched to ATT in order to get an iPhone when they first came out. And, I would have just stayed with ATT if not for the fact that they don't have any coverage where I really need it. Glad to be back on a service that will provide service.

:cheesy: Oh darn :D

I might have gone with the 6+ if not for the fact that they are backordered until October. After seeing one in person, I'm happy that I just got the 6 which is still a lot bigger than my old 5. The 6+ is cool but maybe a bit too big for my taste.

I was AT&T for that same reason way back with original iPhone launch day. Remember that with no subsidies!! Switched to Verizon a few years back when the 4 came out. Really happy with Verizon in my areas of travel!

Have two iPhones on order via Verizon. One for the wife and one for myself. Two weeks out for our configurations. My wife had a co-worker show up with one today. She's now really glad we upgraded. Got the regular 6 not the 6+. The 6+ I agree is just a bit too big for me.

Actually, if you were an old time member with unlimited data you could get grandfathered in to an unlimited plan. We have it, pay out the ass for it, but haven't let it go.

I agree with wifi prevalence now, there really is no need. We'll be switching soon.

I was debating on getting the 6+ for the better screen resolution but i think I'll be happy with the size of the regular 6 the 6+ is probably way too big, and go verizon! Haha

We just let go of our Unlimited Plan. The problem is it is "unlimited" up to 5GB per person, after you reach 5GB, they throttle you back for the next billing cycle to slower speeds. Unlimited only in theory. We switched over the the family shared 10GB which was about $30 cheaper per month with unlimited voice and text and it a full use 10GB regardless if one person uses 8GB and the other 2GB vs. the unlimited where your really held to 5GB or less data.

All that said, I may go back in within the next week or so and cancel it and move over to Verizon as others have said for the better coverage out in the boonies.

I got one too today. I have the same issue with AT&T. I'm about to move to my new house and it doesn't work there. They are trying to convince me to accept their microcell but I'm probably returning this iPhone 6 and switching to an iPhone 6+ that I ordered from Verizon on the same day last Friday )it won't be here until October 13). At the time I just couldn't decide whether I wanted to switch and which size phone to go with. The 6 is larger but I got used to it within an hour. Went out to the new home construction site and the signal wasn't any better. The 6+ is substantially larger and it's coming from Verizon.... I think I'll stick with that.

This wasn't the case when my wife upgraded to the 5s. Are you sure the grandfathered unlimited plans are gone with the 6?

You're right. I was confusing them with Verizon. But AT&T does throttle you at 3GB in certain areas and times and the LTE devices get screwed at 5GB for the remainder of the billing cycle. http://www.att.com/esupport/datausage.jsp?source=IZDUel1160000000U Tmobile's plans are the best deal right now in terms of data, mins, and text. They'll have wifi calling with the iFone6/6+ right quick which makes up for their coverage issues.

Unfortunately, many courts don't have wifi.

My grandfathered plan went away with Verizon when we upgraded to the 5. 10+ years with them and while very happy with coverage, the cost is getting to be a bit too much to justify staying.

Yup, we had the Unlimited plan as well but decided it just wasn't worth keeping with the throttling. Also, we started to watch our actual usage month to month and found that we could save a bundle by moving over to a plan that was closer to it.

6 Plus Space Gray 64 GB waiting for me in-store at Apple today. Woke up and just for shits and giggles thought I'd check local availability and they actually had one! I had cancelled my delivery-late-October "preorder" so snatched this one up. Can't wait to get it.
