No pics but this weekend in Paso I picked up a whistle pig rye10yr and Taylor single barrel. Got both for the price of Taylor I’ve seen closer to home.. so why not. Only die once! I’ll live well every day till then. Been collecting several good/top bottles for a while now.

Nice!! Whiskey sounds pretty good right about now. This morning we started concrete forming on a new basement/addition... We were stringing Property Lines and the neighbor opened her window and starts Rudely going off on what we were doing (We weren't on her property) ... So I reacted very nice and tried to explain our process, but she wasn't having it. She babbled and complained as if the world revolved around her... This went on for a bit between her, myself and my Partner... eventually things calmed down and we moved on with work. 20 min later the owner of our project walks out and says...(it's 8:30am) "You ready for some Whisky?".. as he laughed. I said, "Definitely, Yes!" .... He walks back inside and comes out with this brand new bottle of Four Roses and says "Here ya go buddy... Enjoy". So it all worked out... in my favor.

Heard that Frey Ranch, a small distillery in Fallon, NV was going to be releasing a very limited, single barrel of what they are call Hazmat. Essentially, 120 bottles of 140 proof bourbon. Needless to say, Cindy and I got up early this morning and headed east with the hopes of acquiring one.

Unfortunately, a LOT of other people got the memo as well and many from out of state who drove all night to get a place in line and some even camped out.

The good news is that we did get to taste this amazing whiskey and it was surprisingly smooth for being so potent.

The bad news is that we were just a bit too late to buy a bottle of our own. However, they did have two other single barrels they were releasing, one at 138.74 proof and the other, 132.80 and both were amazing as well.

The owner of Frey was telling us that it takes just the right set of conditions to make. We had gotten there just a bit earlier but yes, we still had a great time and came away with a few bottles of something close.Sucks to not score, but still a cool day I bet. Hazmats are going to become more and more rare.
LOL - yeah! That's how it should have gone for sure!!I feel like those with the larger tires should have gotten to jump the line lol. I still haven’t been to their distillery, need to go check it it sometime
That would be super fun, Let us know, we’ll do our best to join you guys!LOL - yeah! That's how it should have gone for sure!!
Cindy and I were talking about you and Alex and if you're available, you should join us for their next special release. Apparently, they do these from time to time and I'm pretty sure they should be coming up to 10 year barrels soon.
