Where did your Jeep take You this Week?

well I took the week for the eclipse and while I didn't go to my primary spot as I figured it would be quite full up by the time I managed to get there since I wasn't able to leave from home till sat. morning due to having to work fri night I think everything worked out for the better honestly .. I left Texas and made my way up into northern Ark. where I stopped for the night at Gunners pond in the Ozarks quite a nice little camping spot with a shallow creek and a few different sized pools to jump into and cool off if the mood strikes ... DSC_1015.jpgDSC_1006.jpgDSC_1043-2.jpgfound a circle with a cross etched into a fairly good sized rock , can't help but wonder who did it and just how long it has been there DSC_1024.jpg... soon though it was time to get back on the road and make my way into Missouri for the eclipse , so loaded up and down the road I went DSC_1062.jpg had very few spots on the route to pull off and enjoy the views but did mange to get a couple shots looking out over the Ozarks DSC_1063.jpgDSC_1065.jpg so after a few hours driving up and down through the Ozarks and nice winding roads I once more manage to get into a National Forest and on some service roads which were well groomed but and still nice and winding and I could see why the Forest Service recommended that one didn't bring any sort of sizable trailers to where I was heading for ... arriving at the site I learned this little fact DSC_1237.jpg .. after setting up I took a few shots of the surrounding area , and you know it once more a nice little creek right up alongside of where I was DSC_1213.jpg the sites were quite large as it is a bit more of a horse camp but it was also primitive as well no water ,besides the creek , no hookups , no vault toilet ... pack in pack out just my kinda place :thumb::thumb:DSC_1190.jpg DSC_1209.jpg there was a few other folks around as well got to meet a guy travelling the country in a converted van who did a bunch of sport bike riding .. and had been staying at another camping spot about 20 miles or so away but left due to noise and the fact it was pretty crowded for the eclipse ... managed to get quite a few good shots of the eclipse as well DSC_1173.jpg .. everyone seemed to clear out later in the day after the big event that drew them in and since I was off work I opted to just stick in and enjoy the quiet for a few more days before making my way home .....

Took a jaunt around and through the White Mountains, going over 113 in Maine through Evans Notch.

Mmmmm ice cream, have you tried the little place down on DuPont Rd by the library? Did you get your transfer case linkage fixed?

Never tried that place. We just went to the good ole Grabill dairy sweet.

I did fix the linkage. Just went to Glenbrook Dodge and picked up a couple of new bushings. It was a pretty quick fix. Just four screws to pull the center console off.
I found a place online that makes replacement bushings that are supposed to be made of better material. Bushingfix.com

I'll probably order a couple from them for the next time it goes out.

Ohio to visit my dad and some old friends. Was the first time since owning the Jeep it's be more than 100 miles. It did great had a check engine light cleared it with the Superchips flashpaq didn't come back but I'm going to replace the egr valve just in case. Hit an antique show while there and did some welding on the old man's trike it was a good trip.

It's really something to see, up there. I'd love to do it again, someday.
