Nice pics. That is a great area to drive around. Did you make it to the top of Flag Pole knob?

Not yet. That was our first time out there. Just a quick day trip. I'm in the Fredericksburg area so it's a bit of a hike to get there. I'm going to plan a multi-day trip to explore some of the connecting trails (Flag pole knob and Meadow Knob included).

Heavens landing! Clayton GA

It's not jeep related but where else can you watch high end cars and regular street cars go over 200mph in 1/2 mile!!

Colorado trip Sept 2016. Big fun. Ran most of the passes around Ouray, Colorado.

so I was off over the last weekend and once more headed down into Davey Crockett and Angelina National Forests for a bit of camping pleasures ... as always enjoy getting out there for a couple of nights off and go just as often as I can when I happen to be off work and no other plans which is most of the time ... dunt know why i took so many pictures of that spider web as i did but I did .. found a really good spot for a group camping run down in Angelina right up on the lake and while I didn't see them I know that at least one deer came no more than 5 feet off the front of where my tent was ..went to bed no tracks woke up and there they were about 4 feet out from the front of my tent ... and heard a few turkey's but much to my dismay I didn't spot them either DSC_3540.jpg DSC_3544.jpg DSC_3550.jpg DSC_3572.jpg DSC_3573.jpg DSC_3577.jpg DSC_3586.jpg DSC_3587.jpg DSC_3593.jpg DSC_3610.jpg but as always I enjoyed my days off ...........

Looks like a peaceful spot! Did you have the place to yourself?

yup was just me surprising enough considering it was the weekend I half expected to see someone there when I pulled in on sat afternoon but I think the tree down across the road in was keeping a few out of where I stayed ...
