Some place muddy to go dial in my rifle. Wasn't expecting to give the new tires a workout.

Today, my beautiful wife, daughter and myself played around at ElDorado Canyon. It'd an old mining area, a few are still active, but not as many as some would have you believe. Fun wheeling and exploring.
My wife screamed while hiking up to a mine, scared the poop out of me, thinking Rattlesnake, but what she almost stepped on was this:

Not sure, but I think she scared the poop out of the spider too.
Anyway, the real scary part of the trip, actually, kinda pissed me off ( sorry for foul language ) was when my daughter almost stepped on these:

Yes, these are old sticks of dynamite. One batch hidden under a piece of junk metal. She knew to ask, and look around before proceeding, and waited for me. Good girl. Anyway, here are some mine pics. :

Anyway, Good Day and God Bless.

Took a 1 week trip down to San Felipe, Baja, Mexico last week.

Found something I had to back down...:grayno: Just wasn't up to pushing it too hard. No sense in rolling it down a mountain valley with just 1700mi on the clock! As I said in the description for the video, the steepness just isn't relayed on video.

Ignore the horrible audio. It's my first video and I have no idea how to fix it other than remake the video in better software. The GoPro studio is weak it seems.

Forgot to mention, stock tires @~37psi. That didn't help the situation in the very soft dirt.

Was that 4low? And lockers or no? I've had my share of hills that just beat the snot out of my engine... Put some more miles on her and give it another go!

Yeah that was 4Low front & rear locked up. The steepness is crazy and the dirt was very soft. I think not airing down was a major factor. Those thin stock MT's full of air aren't called 'pizza cutters' for nothing! They just dug right in. Next time I'm up in that particular area I'll go around the right side and come down this particular trail. See if the steepness shows up in video there. Will have to bring an extra set of hands to film from the outside to show a level side view.

Then again, I may just leave this one to the quads. I need to ride mine more anyway...but it's so hard with the new Jeep sittin' there looking all dirty... ;)

Nice. Be safe and keep at it. ...and don't leave the Jeep behind for a quad! Blasphemy!! LOL!!
