A scenic drive along the coast and through the Malibu Canyons. Topless Jeep in February is an awesome thing.

Nice pics! Such a lovely area :) Are there any offroad areas left in Malibu?

I used to hit up Deer Creek in the Malibu area to test clearance and flex but someone seems to have blocked off the entire area. It's a shame because it was lightly used by Jeeps and paragliders in harmony. Do you know if that area has changed since I noticed this? (sometime in 2014).

Here's a pic of me there about 1.5 years ago to show what I mean (sorry for the off topic pic):

That's a great pic. 👍

To be honest I didn't look that hard. We did look a little before heading out and nothing obvious popped up. I've found lately that a lot of fire roads that were open in the hills area between L.A. and S.B. have been closed to traffic. There were a couple more roads we'd like to do again in the Malibu Hills just cause it was so nice up there. Maybe your pic was an offshoot from one of those??

Once you get above Santa Barbara there are a few more options.

Yeah, shame fire roads are closing. :( My pic was off of Deer Creek road, but like I said its probably still closed with trespass warnings (someone will probably build a mansion up there :rolleyes2:). I think it's technically slightly northwest past the border of Malibu but it's the same area. It was the closest and most pleasant offroad to where I am in LA.

We also head into that rough area when we want to see the meteor showers since the light pollution is as decent as you're gonna get in that area.

Blue Angels Near Superstition Mt.

Took a quick day trip near Anza Borrego Desert State Park. We got to see an air show!

Hells Half Acre trail

Went with our local club, East Idaho Jeeps, on the Hells Half Acre trail near Shelly Idaho. Caught up with the Snake River Offroaders club who were ahead of us on the trail. Together we had a great time on this trail through the lava flow. The lady with the Taco Bell dog is my wife (for 52 years) Rita.

Sourgrass trail

Quick run up Sourgrass trail near Dorrington, CA Friday night. Beautiful evening, but this area needs snow!

Finally made it to Sedona after living here for almost 4 yrs. Had a blast. Badapple got to really stretch her legs and had a close call with body damage. We ran Broken Arrow and Powerline trail with our local club.
