My Daughter and I took a Friday drive to a historic railroad bridge.
Her rules:
1. Jeep, no doors.
2. Backroads only.
3. Picnic.
4. Then... Ice Cream.

90 mile round trip, almost all county roads. So quiet, just the sound of the wind in the trees.

Amen. Now, after spending my life in either a semi-truck or airplane, away from home, I realize I cannot get lost time back.

Came to Moab for a couple days on the way home from Colorado. No wheeling mama says. Hit up Canyonlands NP and Arches NP and the brewery instead.
We did take Shafer Canyon / Potash road back from Canyonlands. Nearly shed a tear as we passed the Poison Spider trailhead.

Damn. Looks a lot like our caravan a couple of weeks ago to GA, only Fiona was on the trailer... Tight squeeze getting her on there.
