Wheel diameter suggestion wanted

Greetings all,

I would like to solicit some advice, opinions and suggestions concerning my move to 37s. I am currently running 35s on 15 inch stock type steel rims.

Want to upgrade to 37s. Not soon, but planning my moves ahead of time. I know I'm gonna go with ATX slabs, absolutely going to run Nitto Mud Grapplers ( love the Nittos on my Dodge ).

My question is what size wheel should I run? 15s or 17s??? The first thing I looked at is which has the 37x15.5s that I want. Nitto has them in 17" and has 38x15.5 in the 15"

Is there an advantage of one wheel size over the other???? Any and all input is appreciated.

It is probable more of a looks thing! but smaller rim is usually cheaper tire. i think the bigger question you need to ask is the rim width i would say that width 15.5 inch wide you are going to need a fat rim prob 9in being the smallest! that might be a factor in buying 15s or 17s!

If it were me, I would definitely go with a 17" wheel as it will reduce the amount of sidewall your tires have. This will allow them the handle better on pavement and minimize sidewall flex on the trail - a great thing especially in offer camber technical sections. Also, as mentioned, they'll allow you to upgrade your brakes to something bigger if so desired. 17" is a very common size and you will have plenty of options for it and at reasonable prices.
