What's your view like at work?

Today was the first time I've been able to go across 40 at the NC/TN line since they opened it to one lane in both directions. I don't think that these pics really shows the damage done by the flooding. First 2 are on the TN side the 2nd 2 or in NC.

That area will be a cluster for years to come. Have wanted to go that way but it’s quicker to take the mountain roads up and over due to all the traffic there.

It started rolling pretty good once I got around the curv. I would have to agree. From what I could see it's going to be a long time. I've normally got a oversized load so I can't go through there

We were out that way a few months ago. Pretty ugly damage.

Yeah it was. From what I could see from the truck, it's going to be a very long time before it's back to normal though there

In 2013, the Colorado floods were very similar. Took years to rebuild. We saw debris piles years later. Helene caused a lot more deaths though.

It's just like the MS Gulf Cost after Katrina. It still hasn't completely recovered.
