What's the best practice with empty wire connectors?

I'm doing my first upgrades that involve electrical work and am wondering what best practices are. I installed a new ARB Stubby bumper on my 2024 JLU. Since it doesn't support the OEM fog lights, what do I do with the now empty connector?
  • Just leave it as is with the connections exposed to the elements
  • Pull the fuses
  • Cut the wires on the fog light side of the connector and put that back on to seal it a bit
  • Do something else entirely
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

this ^^ you don't want to cut the connector off in the event you buy other fog lights that plug into them
I wasn't going to cut the connector on the Jeep side off but the connector on the bumper side and then put that connector with no wires onto the Jeep side for some weather protection. But I think your point still stands in case I want to remove the fog lights from the bumper and use them in the future.
