I was using Penzoil ultra 5-30 in my 2012, till Wally World stopped carrying it. I just bought Penzoil platinum, because that is what the have now. I have thought about going to 10-30 or 40. I really don't think thin oil is best.
Royal Purple synthetic 10w-30. It's heavier, but my engine runs much smoother and quieter. In the Arizona 100-115 degree summers, it makes a world of difference.
Sythetic is def good if you can afford to do it. i run amsoil in everything i have, so far so good. 5w30 in my jeep.
no matter what oil you use, most deffinitaly CHANGE your oil at REGULAR intervals. oil gets dirty, no matter reg or syn. and use a good oil filter like wix or k&n. don't go cheap store brand, replacing engines due to inferior products sucks.
