What Grease Should I Use?

Sorry if this has been asked/answered/discussed somewhere before. I just recently replaced the rear upper and lower control arms (Currie) on my 2012 JK. They come pre-greased but I figured I should hit them with some grease anyways.



I was curious, since there were no spec sheets that came with the CAs, what type of grease should be used? I probably should have asked this before I used what I did, but it didn't occur to me at the time.

This is the type of grease that I have been using for the last 5 years on the Rough Country CAs. It is a red - hi temp type:

i would say thats fine. i think i use a red high temp one on my sway bar discos

Noob question but why did you switch out the control arms. Is it affiliated with getting a lift.

I replaced the Rough Country CAs I had because they were getting old and one of the seals was blown out and I could no longer get grease to stay in. Because of this, there was a very loud squeaking coming from the old CA and unfortunately they were not rebuildable.

I figured I may as well upgrade to a better product and a few people suggested Currie. I really like these CAs because they are rebuildable and the heads on them are pretty beefy in comparison to the Rough Country ones I had on there. I don't suspect I'll have to replace these for at least 5 years or longer. Probably just have to buy a couple rebuild kits.
