What does this sign mean?

I’m new to exploring forest service roads and came across this sign a couple times. Was kinda confused to what it means.Image1529277950.208267.jpg I see it says open from June 16 to December 1 but then also a line through an image of a Jeep. There was an open gate as well with tire tracks going up the trail... I wasn’t sure whether or not we were allowed to go on, so we turned back...

That makes sense! Thank you for the clarification [emoji106] I didn’t want to be one of those people that see a sign and don’t give any regards to it. I’d rather figure out what it means first, plus I didn’t have any cell reception to look it up or post about it when I saw it...

I agree with black pearl that the road is open to RLORV June thru December, so you are ok to proceed. You can stop at the Local National Forest office and get a free map that will have all the roads marked with permissible uses.

Or you should be able to find a pdf map on the National Forest website.
