Just curious what people do for a living and if you are happy doing what you are doing?

Me, I am a Chef and not happy doing what I am doing. lol I enjoy cooking just not for a full time job.

Honestly that sounds like a badass job! I am a horrible chef though...

I bet you have to deal with a ton of ungrateful people!!!

I am a firearms instructor for my own company ( usually only one class a month) we're still growing. We also do polymer handgun grip work. But the job that pays the bills is my normal 9-5 job at a local Toyota dealership working wholesale parts and service as well as our custom accessory department.

West coast forest industry ..... heavy equipment operator.
Canada and the U.S.A. will be re-opening the Free Trade Agreement, and the Softwood Lumber Tariffs ..... may be out of work in the near future.
Time to retire ..... again.

I am a chef as well. I work the banquets at our local big box hotel. Some days good/some bad. Worst part is the kids/cooks these days. No work ethics. Pay is good benefits good. Been cooking for 25+ years

Car-hauler/ Owner-Operator. We haul New cars to dealers all over the U.S.A. Although there are a couple manufacturers we don't haul, like Toyota, if you drive it we haul it. It's a career that I love and have been doing for 18 years.

Army Infantry with the 101st.

My first duty station was Campbell. What brigade are you in? I was 3-187, good ol' RAKKASANS! [emoji1278] Everybody hated us and we hated everybody. Hell, people still dislike me when they hear I was a RAKKASAN.

Currently I am still in, 8 years so far, but getting out after this contract is up. Putting too much unnecessary strain on the family and I'm just not diggin the way things have been changing.

I'm a wheeled vehicle mechanic in the Army. Stationed in Alaska but currently in SoCal for training. Nice change of weather, think I even got sunburned. Lol

I'm actually starting a new career. I've always wanted to be a Police Officer and with the election of our new president, I have decided that I want to now chase that dream! I came back to college to get my CJ degree then I will go back to Florida, go to the police academy, and hopefully start my new career at the local Sheriff's office!

Just curious? What does the election of an umpa lumpa have to do with your career choice?

Are you at NTC-Ft. Irwin?? I worked out there for 10 years as a civilian mechanic . My little Brother has been there for 28 years and now works on the MRAP's and HWMMV's.

Not sure I understand the logic. For the past 8 years, I have always supported LEOs. :yup:

I think it was a generalized statement more than anything. I don't think the previous administration really gave a shit about the well being of this country whether citizen or LEO. I at least see the current administration attempting to bring America back to its roots myself. If I were in law enforcement, I would sure feel better working under the current administration.

I have a ton of respect for any LEO right now. I can't imagine trying to enforce rules when you're not even sure you'll be backed up. I think it's more about people feeling entitled to the world, and thinking laws don't apply to them, rather than the administration whether President Trump or President Obama.

But anyway, don't want to hijack the original thread. :)
