WAYALIFE on the GO : Miscellaneous Photos from Cindy & Eddie!

Sooooo... I got pulled over today.

But, before I get to that, allow me to first say that after 3 months of sitting around and collecting dust, Cindy and I made a trip down to ORE today and picked up our Gladiator.

Unfortunately, it still needs a bit of work to get it perfect, things like a rear sway bar, gas tank that fills faster than a trickle, some exhaust work and miscellaneous this and that's but, we decided that we could work on a lot of that ourselves. Certainly, if it's gonna sit anywhere, it might as well be in our garage and if we can get it out on the trail from time to time, even better!

Anyway, I don't know if we ever posted up shots of it out on dirt and so, here are a few that we took on our way home.

One other thing we're really hoping to do is get this thing over to Motech, sooner than later and with the hopes of getting the ball rolling on bigger and better things 😁

Oh... about getting pulled over. It's a funny thing because we don't have our license plate on and mainly because we have the new High-n-Tight rear bumper on. For some reason, the tailgate license plate bracket doesn't work with it but, we decided to just figure things out later. Anyway, we pulled into town, drove right by a police car, came to a complete stop at an intersection, made a right turn and promptly got lit up. As I pulled over, Cindy said "no license plate" and I quickly agreed. When the very nice police officer walked up to my window, I got ready to explain things and then he said, "you know, I pulled you over because you were speeding". Seeing the genuine dumb look on my face, he said that I was "doing 25 in a school zone and that's 10 over the speed limit". 🤦‍♂️

Now, I should note that this happened at about 1:30 pm, school was still in session and so there were no kids around anywhere. But, I am familiar with the area and that the speed limit does drops from 25 to 15 between the hours of 1:30-3:45 pm and so I owned up to my mistake and apologized for not being more aware of my speed. After taking my drivers licenses and walking back to his car, Cindy and I were sure he was going to ask about the missing license plate and so, when he came back, I was once again ready to explain things but then, he just handed me back my drivers license and... let me off with a warning. 🤯 🤪

Lucky school zone tickets are expensive. Looking at that JT to much eye candy to notice there’s no plate

Damn that JT is a beauty.

Is that the .850 antirock, or did they make a larger one for you? I ended up using my .770 from my JT on the JL. Does it handle the movement of your JT pretty well offroad?

Haha, exactly what I was thinking. Probably just liked the Jeep. I was pulled over on the Coast Highway last year for doing 20 over. I told the Sherriff I didn't notice because I had music blaring and the top down, to which he let me off with a warning after stating he gets it because he has a Jeep. Lucky me 🤪

Congrats, good news all around then! Damn that thing is beautiful! 👍

So, after a quick stint up to Carson City to take care of a few things, Cindy and I decided to get back down to Boulder City as soon as we could and mainly to get far away from winter and the white stuff. Umm... yeah.

20230214170027-19a18253.jpg

According to the weather, it was 64° F out here just yesterday with relatively calm winds. Right now, it's like a blizzard outside - crazy strong winds and full blown snow flying sideways.

Being that global warming has set in this far south, we decided to drive around and see what things look like around town.

Well, I can't say that I have never seen snow out in the desert but this far south and in the middle of February... that's a first for me.

I’m with you, so nice yesterday, I knew it was gonna be cold today, but not happy to see snow coming down my way, doesn’t seem to be sticking at my house though. But cool shots!

LOL - yeah, when we heard it was gonna get cold and snow again, we headed south. Guess mother nature is just being a bitch by following us and giving it to us here 🤪

No power here. The whole town of Pine Arizona is black. It is supposed to be 11 degrees here tomorrow. There is a thunderstorm coming out way, which seems strange given how quiet the day has been.
