Im Bud and I have had a few Jeeps in my 49 years on this rock. I worked at a hardware store in Long Beach and the owner, Doug Billings, had a '76 CJ7 who invited me on a Tierra Del Sol trip with his club the Dessert Dogs in like the early 90's. That was it, i got stung, Now i got a full blown habit! I Bought a Cj7 that I would take to Baja alot, surf/fish/camp, bouncing back between Sea of Cortez and Pacific, zigzagging our way down to Cabo and back. Started out just removing the plastic and putting some larger times on it, rack, winch, OBA, etc... threw some 44's under it after a ring gear shed some teeth, then S.O.A. lift with YJ shackles, ARB's... over the course of many years. I finally got the nerve to rip it all apart and build it right... then came my first kid and to the back of the garage it went, again. First kid, hey maybe I could talk myself into one of those new 4doors, ya thats it, a "FAMLY4X". Found an 09 Red JK and quickly found out that after all of the great work that went into developing it they put a weed whacker motor in it! So I RIPPed it, after after cage, skids, rockers, winch, bumpers, 60 rear, arbs, 5.38s now sitting on 40s. Cant fit the whole Family in it now but me n Lola have a great time! Oh yes, I still own the CJ, its almost done now too. RJ ARB 60s, Coilovers, stretched, Injected and stroked v8, atlasII, etc... just have to take it all down to zero so I can paint/powdercoat, then plumb, wire, and rebuild. I will likely do a real purdy paint job on it so I get really happy when it flops or goes over for the first time, lol! I try to hist some of the bigger events like Moab, T.D.S., K.O.H. etc... but love to just run dirty too! Day tripping down to Slickrock off the 4 or anywhere with friends, really. Here are some pics of my junk. As you can see by the last pic, I ain't afraid to beat it in public, lol. Really dig this forum and community y'all have built here, great job! Look forward to seeing you out there... way out there, Bud IMG_3221.jpgIMG_0486.jpgIMG_4002.jpgIMG_1183.jpg
