Hey everyone. Dave here, from Southern Maryland. Just got involved with this Jeep way of life. I went shopping for a Jeep at the end of February, and saw several that I liked. Had to travel to Virginia to find a nice selection, and was about to buy a Black Sahara when this Black Willys jumped out of the crowd and I instantly knew I was going to buy that one. 
Right now there are no modifications to speak of except for Rugged Ridge quick detach mirrors and a Bestop Jeep cover for when I park it topless at work to keep the urban pigeons from crapping on my seats.
I used to own a '79 Ford Bronco, so I'm not TOTALLY new to the off-road 4x4 gig, but I am new to the Jeep tradition of camaraderie. The salesman made me promise I would wave to other Jeepers... "It's part of the contract". I told my wife there was no way I was going to wave to every Jeep, and I was being stubborn about it. Then I noticed that my new 4x4 was getting noticed by other Jeepers and I was getting waves left and right. It feels good to be noticed! So now, yes, I am a waver. Especially to old school cool and modified rides. Now I want to find an old Willys and get pics side by side!
