Hey folks! I'm Chris. I haz Jeep JKUR. Unlike many who get a jeep, and lift the beejeezus out of it, and run to the mall. I bought it, and went wheeling (Bed Bath & Beyond...None of that Pottery Barn crap for me). Ive wheeled trucks most of my adult life, so I figured the Jeep wasn't that much different. NOOP! Way different. It made a trail Ive struggled with in other vehicles a cake walk. To the point I realized I have a lot more to learn. SO.....I wheeled the crap out of it, and modded accordingly. I got rock lights, and aux lights pretty quickly, as well as some steel for the underside. Realized the OEM headlights were crap, so I replaced those. After having the shit scared out of me in a cross wind, and having the hood desperately try to become an independent entity, I got locking hood latches. I clearanced my exhaust via a small drop off onto a rock, then added 33" tires. Bee bopped around like this for a while, then added an OME lift, and some better sliders. For Christmas, my Wife got me a Warn Elite front bumper. On a personal level.....I'm married to a wonderful gal who hasn't questioned why I have engine parts in the oven from time to time, and knows which ER has the least waiting time at any given moment. I have a job, 2 dogs, and hate my HOA.

Great intro! [emoji23] Welcome to WAL from San Tan Valley! We're getting more and more AZ guys here.
Keep an eye on the AZ Group thread.

Welcome to WayaLife from Scottsdale. You found a great forum to help with those mods and learn about handling that Jeep. Hope to see you out on the trail soon.

I was skeptical until you mentioned the HOA part. [emoji6] Ha! Welcome to WAL!!!!!![emoji112][emoji112][emoji112]

😂 yeah......me and my HOA don't have a very good relationship. According to the rules, we are allowed to perform basic maintenance on vehicles in front of our homes. I was confronted once, when I was swapping a 302 into a Ford ranger, that what I was doing wasn't considered "basic maintenance". I told them that the oil in the 4 cylinder engine was old, and used up, so I was swapping it for a v8 with fresh good oil........it kinda went downhill from there.

In!! Do you guys ever have Meet & Greets? Just to meet up and shoot the shit, or meet up and wrench on vehicles?

A couple guys met up and did some wrenching a bit ago, but we haven't gotten a meet up put together yet. I'd be interested in one though, I'm in the S/E valley.
