Warns new VR Evo winch

This was news to me. Looks like warn has restyled there VR series of winches to look more like the Zeons.

Evo series is Chinese made. Faster than the prior VR generation, but less pulling power.

I'd rather have the older VR series, personally.

Warn Evo 8

Installed one today! Can’t beat the price at $465. Has more girth than the VR 8, shape very similar to Zeon.

Wires behind the controller do rest against the grill with the Evo 1/4 Pounder. I could see trimming the grill if it bothers. Otherwise, it’s very well made, has the Warn lifetime/7 year warrantee and didn’t break the bank... wireless is a plus!

Oh man, I have the old warn winch but sold it a few years ago. Is this fully made in China? I thought they have a plant in Oregon?

I got one and put it on a couple weeks ago. Haven’t used it yet to recover, but I’ve messed with it to get used to it. I really like the ability to go wired or wireless. Looks great, too.
