very cool!

Synergy nailed it for the DIY with minimal fabricating skills required.

Hi-lift keeping prices reasonable and still going after all these years, kudos to them. (y)

Jeep licensed stuff was cool but prices, whew... Harbor Freight free tarp day or spend the $5 for a ground tarp.

LOL - very well summarized

Well said all the way ‘round.

Great video, and a lot of great stuff. I’m really interested in that Synergy axle swap kit, such a cool idea. The only negative part I saw was how low the front control arms hung down but probably easy to deal with.

As someone who is still working through a SD60/Sterling swap I can say this kit is gonna be a game changer for a lot of people. I’ve spent nearly $1000 alone just in tools and consumables cutting off all the casting and brackets and shit from the from SD60, not to mention the hours upon hours that it’s taken.
Combine that with a complicated steering setup due to packing issues and it’s a major DIY nightmare even if you know what you’re doing.
Way to go synergy for addressing this. I would like to know how they address the Sterling 10.5 being slightly offset to the passenger side which can cause interference with the tank when the suspension is flexed out.
Overall… great looking setup.

Yeah that’s really the only potential issue I could see but, the front SD60 diff is so huge and those mounts are far enough outboard that if you’re running a big enough tire (40-42) then they might not be too bad.
That being said, cutting those fucking brackets off is hands down the worst part of the swap and if I had it to over again, I’d have paid a shop to do that part for me.

Yeah, those brackets are stout lol I think it would be worth running as is. If they ended up being a problem, deal with it then. Seems the hardest part would be sourcing decent axles that aren’t jacked up for a fair price. Idk

I found mine on Facebook marketplace for $1200 for the pair. LKQ usually has a bunch of them on hand for around the $1500-$2000 mark.
What really adds up are the lockers and gears etc. but once that’s handled, it’s really just a matter of bolting them in and dealing with the setup. That being said, I’ll be into this set for about what I would have paid for a pair of XD60’s but, I have been able to do this in stages which was the appeal. I didn’t have $20k to just shit on axles.
I’m betting with this synergy kit, cost wise all said and done should be in the $12-1$5k mark depending on how fancy you got with the suspension setup.

I did a search around here and not knowing what years or model truck to look for, most super duty axles 2005+ F250 with 3.73 gears selling for less than $800/axle.

But, in my experience, it's never as easy as it seems when looking for junkyard parts

new wheels required?

That synergy kit is awesome! Makes that swap much easier for those that wanna go that route. Those radius arm brackets are so beefy that I don’t think they would be a problem wheeling, even with them hanging lower.
