UD 60 front and rear are flat black?!

I know this might sound dumb but my 392 is in the shop getting a full build, I got UD 60's front and rear. Why are the flat/satin black, aren't they supposed to be gloss black? Should I be concerned? I was told that when covid happened, the place that used to paint them shut down, I dont know if that is BS or what but I want to make sure since I am spending so much. Any info in advance would be great, thanks!

That is kind of weird.

If it were me I’d rattle can them the color I wanted. They will get dirty and banged up, however I understand wanting them to look the way you want after spending that kind of $$ on them.

I am sure they will be just fine but it just makes me scratch my head on why. Planning to have them gloss black rattle can

They do look abnormally dull. I would expect them to be more similar to the Jeep frame.

The UD60s we got back in 2019 were gloss black but the new front UD60 that we got last year was flat. No big deal to me being especially being that most of it needed to be cleaned off to weld on new brackets but it looks like they've been doing it for a while now.

Seriously though atleast it's a good base for some gloss rattle can.
