Twp piece wheel adapters

Anyone out there have any experience running these style adapters? Trying to figure options going from a 5 on 5 to an 8 lug pattern on my front axle. I know Eddie used adapters on his PR44 on Rubicat for awhile
but wonder how these hold up over time.

eh, I wouldn't do it. The adapters I was running was a one piece Spydertrax and it was to convert 5x5 to 5x5.5. If you're going 8 lug, I would just get a set of 8 lug wheels and sell what you have to help offset the difference.

Yeah, I kinda figured that but wanted to check around first before I start down another rabbit hole...thanks Eddie

Forgive me for not remembering but, are you asking because you're wanting to get a full width rear and something like a PR44 up front? If so, I might recommend that you just get your rear axle with a 5x5.5 bolt pattern and with 9/16" racing studs. This is what I've been running on Moby in the past and on Rubicat now. This allowed me to run adapters up front and they helped widen the stance to be similar to the rear.

Well, I'm in a thinking/planning stage now because I have a Semi float PR60 rear and bent a flange. Since Dynatrac came out with these ungodly new prices I'm looking at what the costs involved are if I went to a FF PR60 rear. I've got the PR44 up front and of course I have the 5 on 5 wheels. I have no real need for a PR60 front like they have prepackaged as I'll never need to go larger than the 37's I'm on now, so running the 5 on 5.5 adapter up front is more than likely what I'll do IF I go with the FF rear....
