It's hard to write anything in stone this early on but typically, there's always something going on.Question for Eddie @wayoflife, @Disciple Off Road , or anyone else out west.
Is anything happening out west around the Fourth of July, 2026?
If so, I can make a 2 week vacation out of this and only use 8 of 10 days for vacation. LOL
Wife just said, and I need to quote this for future reference:
"Yellowstone is not a must, we can always plan another trip for that. Especially if we can find something fun to do."
Does retiring there include free Jeep Maintenance? LOL

I live in Oklahoma. We may not get the extreme heat as the high desert. But 95 here feels like 105. And we will see 30+ days over 100 with the humidity over 30%.4th of July you’re gonna want to be up north. Unless you want to experience the devil’s anus.
No I’m talking 118 in the shade for a lot of AZ.. flagstaff or alpine in July is ok.I live in Oklahoma. We may not get the extreme heat as the high desert. But 95 here feels like 105. And we will see 30+ days over 100 with the humidity over 30%.
If that is what you are referring to when you say "devil's anus."![]()
You can say it- “Yeah, but it’s a dry heat”Oh yeah I know. Lived it in my youth. Definitely hotter than here. But I'd rather have that heat than the heat and humidity.
But it's hot. Doesn't matter if it is lower humidity. The only benefit is sweat doesn't pour out as soon as you open the door. Takes a few steps out the door for that. You can say it- “Yeah, but it’s a dry heat”
No sweat just evaporates then you dieBut it's hot. Doesn't matter if it is lower humidity. The only benefit is sweat doesn't pour out as soon as you open the door. Takes a few steps out the door for that.![]()

Arizona is the devil's anus, hot but relatively dry. Texas, Oklahoma surrounding area is the devil's sweaty nutsack; as soon as you step outside you're getting tea baggedNo sweat just evaporates then you die![]()
But from mid October to May AZ is pretty tough to beat.Arizona is the devil's anus, hot but relatively dry. Texas, Oklahoma surrounding area is the devil's sweaty nutsack; as soon as you step outside you're getting tea bagged
Except for during a monsoon! You can say it- “Yeah, but it’s a dry heat”
