Trail Bathrooms

I actually found this on the BLM website "Due to a lack of cleansing rain, urine and its odor remain in the arid, inorganic soils of the canyon bottom for a long time. Given the sterile nature of urine, boaters should urinate in the river at flows above 500 cfs (cubic feet per second). For example: 180 people urinating in a stream flowing at 500 cfs would result theoretically in a dilution of 1 part urine to 5,669,291 parts water. At that flow and dilution level, urine does not present a biological health hazard."

It is weird being out here in the West coast and carrying my own shit like I'm a dog. Back home we would always dig a hole, take a crap and leave the TP in the hole. We have so much rain that it would be decomposed in a matter of weeks.

Only the best for my butt!

Bumper Dumper
http://www.bumperdumper.com/

Just went to the site to check it out...and they are setting bumper dumper tshirts! Nothing says Im here for the party like a tshirt explaining that you poop on your hitch!

I was thinking how easy it would be to just bring in a few blue lagoons by airdrop for the rubicon but then I realized bears have been known to raid the crappers.. That is a trail I have yet to go on and I do know it has a lot of traffic, so maybe there's already a bunch of burial sites, especially near the places people camp. ( watch for landmines, lol )
